Projects

PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT: STARTUP, APPLICATION ALLY

In the ongoing team project, we are focused on building a data-driven product to improve the student recruitment journey. We started by conducting 20+ exploratory interviews with students, educators, and administrators to map out their pain points and identify potential business opportunities. We also performed market sizing to understand the demand and competition in this space.

Using this data, we then designed and created a landing page to validate the need-based hypothesis for our product. The landing page generated a 60% demand for the MVP, which is a promising indication of the product's potential success.

Moving forward, we plan to use this information to continue iterating and refining our product, ensuring it meets the needs of our target audience. We will use data-driven insights to guide our decision-making and ensure that we build a product that not only addresses pain points but also offers unique value to our users.

PRODUCT INNOVATION: DUKE HEALTH DESIGN (PATENT)

As the business team lead for a health design project aimed at innovating the halo brace model, I employed a variety of strategies to achieve our objectives. First, I along with my team conducted thorough solution landscaping to identify potential areas of improvement and develop new product concepts. Then, I led a team in conducting rigorous testing of these concepts via killer experiments, using metrics such as usability, effectiveness, and user satisfaction to measure success.

Through our efforts, we achieved an 94% success rate in identifying effective solutions for improving the halo brace model. This ongoing project has involved a significant amount of collaboration with stakeholders such as clinicians, researchers, and product designers, as well as careful attention to regulatory requirements and industry best practices. By continuing to refine our approach and iterate on our findings, we aim to create a product that will significantly improve patient outcomes and quality of life.

MACHINE LEARNING: HOUSE PRICE PREDICTION

In this project, I worked individually to create an effective price prediction model for the real estate industry. To achieve this, I started by designing a user flowchart to understand the user journey and determine the key factors that would impact house prices. I then used data exploration and transformation techniques to clean and prepare the data for analysis.

To build the predictive model, I used a variety of visual analytics tools, including scatterplots, histograms, and heat maps, to identify patterns and relationships in the data. I also utilized machine learning algorithms, such as linear regression and decision trees, to predict the house price based on key features such as area, bath, location, bedrooms, and nearby amenities.

Through this process, I was able to achieve an accuracy rate of 92%, which was a significant improvement over existing models. This model provided valuable insights into pricing strategies and helped my father's construction company to make data-driven decisions to optimize revenue and improve customer satisfaction. Overall, this project was a great success and demonstrated my ability to use data analysis and machine learning techniques to solve complex business problems.

BIG DATA AND ANALYTICS: SENTIMENT ANALYSIS

As part of my project work, I was tasked with implementing sentiment analysis of product reviews to identify the sentiment of customers towards the products. Using natural language processing techniques and machine learning algorithms, I developed a sentiment analysis model that could accurately classify product reviews as positive, negative, or neutral. The model achieved an impressive accuracy rate of 80%, which exceeded the initial target of 70%.

The insights generated from the sentiment analysis were valuable in identifying unmet product needs and improving consumer satisfaction. By analyzing the positive and negative sentiments of customers towards the products, we were able to identify specific areas where the product could be improved, such as product features, quality, and customer support. The insights also helped us understand the specific needs of our customers and improve our marketing strategy.

Overall, the sentiment analysis project was a great success, and the insights generated from the analysis were used to improve the product and drive business growth. I was proud to have played a key role in the project, and I gained valuable experience in natural language processing, machine learning, and data analysis.
